Most of the City’s 500+ parking meters accept the Bridgeport Card. It’s fast and easy to use:

Insert your Bridgeport Card into the meter as shown. The meter will flash the card balance three times and then start to add time in increments of 15 minutes. Remove your card when the meter displays the time you wish to park at the space or the maximum time has been reached.

The Bridgeport Card does not allow you to buy more than the maximum time allowed at the metered space. Unlike coins the card does not allow you to ‘overspend’ on a meter that has reached its maximum time limit.

The maximum time limit for every meter is printed just below the display. Meters in Bridgeport allow you to park for 1 or 2 hours.
